Monthly update

This is something slightly more interesting: another wardriving escapade while traveling up north to visit my sister. My recent purchase of a GPS receiver allowed me to log the locations as well as the existence of the various wireless networks. So instead of a plain text file, you get a pretty map, thanks to the GPS Visualizer.

Well? I was asleep during most of the travel between the two big clusters of points. Mouse over each waypoint and you’ll see the network’s name and whether it is encrypted. This thing uses the Google Maps API, so you can pan around, zoom in and out, switch views, etc.
