Lack of maintenance
No, not on this site, though I guess that would apply as well. I’m talking about my keyboard. That’s what I get for not cleaning it in probably two years. Pretty horrid, isn’t it? Fortunately, this is how it turned out after a multi-hour session involving tetrafluoroethane, isopropyl alcohol, and an old sock. Yes, I know the two pictures don’t show the exact same subject matter.
Earlier this month, I purchased an extremely old laptop computer (Compaq LTE Elite 4/75C), which is currently doing its duty as a dumb terminal to my Linux machine quite well, even though I had not anticipated that being its primary function. On a related note, I fear I may have had quite a hand in the sharp increase of my parents’ electric bill over the past year, rising energy costs notwithstanding. I keep finding myself wanting to acquire more computer equipment, but then I come to my senses and realize I have no place to put it.
